2019 Hotshot Up
The 2019 HOTSHOT UP Volley Ball Tournament was held in honor of Brian Hughes.
Brian Hughes, Captain of the Arrowhead Interagency Hotshots based in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, lost his life in an accident on the fire line on the Ferguson Fire on July 29 2018. He was 33 years old.
At the time when the fatal accident occurred, Hughes and his crew were engaged in firefighting operations on the east side of the Ferguson Fire. They were operating in an area with a large amount of tree mortality. Hughes was struck by a tree. He was treated on scene, but passed away before he could be transported to a hospital. Brian Left behind his Family, Father Peter and Mother Suen Hughes and his pregnant fiancée Paige. Follow the links below for more information on Brian and please support this cause. Brian sacrificed his life doing his job to protect life and property. Unfortunately these devastating outcomes leave a lasting pain that will never go away. HOTSHOT UP along with the U.S. Hotshot Association a (501c3) is once again teaming up to bring family and friends together to remember this heroic individual and have the chance to help these families that have lost someone that can not be replaced.
